Of course the power flow to the brain is not as easy as turning on the lights. There are certain techniques which if not done properly it causes the opposite effect that the more difficult math problems.
In an experiment, scientists from Oxford University managed to find the right technique to overcome dyscalculia with electricity. This experiment involved 15 students ranging in age from 20 to 21 years.
When an electric current by 1 milliamps (mA) flow in the brain in the parietal lobe that governs numerical and mathematical skills, the volunteers felt the effects are quite significant. However, the effect is a variation depending on the direction of electricity.
If the flow of the right parietal lobe to the left, numeracy volunteers increased by 2-fold. Conversely when the flow from left to right, the ability to drop dramatically to something comparable to children aged 6 years.
Because the techniques are far more complicated, one of the scientists is Dr. Cohen Kadosh reminded that this technique does not try yourself at home. However the technique is still in the testing phase so there is still more research is needed before widespread use.
"This is not going to change someone to be as smart as Einstein, but Juka lucky someday be useful for those who have specific learning difficulties such as dyscalculia," said Dr. Kadosh as quoted from the Telegraph
